More holidays

It's our second to last day of our very long summer holidays, it has been wonderful and seems to have gone on forever so no complaints.

Beau on a rock at Granite Island

We have just got back from a great few days at Victor Harbor with Lance and Chiara. Which ended a little unfortunately with Beau coming down with a strange illness which found him in the Womens and Childrens Hospital for one night with a suspected bone/joint infection. Not fun at all, but very luckily it was probably most likely a symptom from a weird 24 hour virus. So he was 100% the day he got out hospital. But it certainly did make us stop and realise how incredibly lucky we are to have a happy and healthy little man as there was so many very less fortunate looking to be stuck in their beds for a very long time.

So we are looking forward now to getting stuck into the new year!

This blog thing I am using really doesn't help me much in doing a nice layout... Anyway I will soldier on for now....

The undersetters have been going flat out for about 3 weeks prior to xmas and have completed the interior undersetting, closed in windows & doors and made new ones, so we are starting to get a feel for what it will be like inside. Pictured is the old kitchen that will become a bathroom and the main bedroom. They also started the paint stripping and I think it is looking fantastic! So fingers crossed for council approval in Jan and building to start early in the year.

We have just been a on a beautiful holiday in Bright, VIC and also in Ascot Vale with relatives. It was all delightful only slightly marred by Lachlan's recnet and manic training regime... As he has registered with his cousin from Italy (regular marathon runner) in the 160km tour down under bike ride in Jan and hadn't started his training yet, so he has been riding for 2-3 hours everyday which does take a huge chunk out of my ideal relaxing day plans i.e. me enjoying sometime not as a single mum... Anyway it's all good, Lach has been getting up early so getting back early. Only a few more weeks to the ride so I will you keep you posted on how he goes, no pressure Lach!!
Other 2 photos are Lach going off for his every morning bike ride in our back lane at home with his greatest fan making the most of a photo opportunity!
Pictured are Beau and I on the river banks at Bright where Beau spent a least an hour throwing stones into the river, I am sure he de-stoned the entire bank, probably not great for the river bank... And also Lach doing a leisurely ride with Beau in a trailer and mountain bike we hired for the day, Beau LOVED IT!

Christmas was great, the first xmas that Beau really got the idea of and he made the most of the build up and the day. We were very lucky to be able to spread things out so we had plenty of time to take the day slowly.

Our little Sweet Pea seems so big in my tummy and is so different to Beau's pregnancy that I wouldn't be that surprised if I found out we were having twins... I really think I look about 20 weeks pregnant and I am just 13! Morning sickness has been coming and going with some really clear patches which is a great relief.

Lachlan just had his 38th birthday before xmas and he made a great day of it as always. We had a devine lunch in the Adelaide Hills with Lance and Chiara just fresh from Italy the day before, (Lance shares a birthday with Lach) and then invited ourselves to Lachlan's brothers house for a small party as they have a beautiful big new backyard. It was a great, thanks guys x

The salt damp guys have been working flat out for a week and it looks like a bomb has hit it, but it's all good. I have been busying getting asbestos and demolitition quotes and working out how to patch up the door and window openings that will be left. We should have 2 quotes from builders for the extension work by the end of next week so fingers crossed to quotes aren't too far from budget.

Other than that I am desperately exhausted... And manically trying to work out how I can make a slightly healthier/organic cheesecake before I go out in search of some mass produced cheesecake again, like a desperate cheesecake junkie!!! This was the only thing I had to have with Beau also. It's like I don't have a choice, I must have it and there is no guilt attached as I really feel I have no choice... I am not worried about weight gain as I am only losing weight at this stage.

One more week until our Christmas holidays begin!!!

Just starting

Prospect renovation has just begun after 3 long years of planning and procrastinating. The Jack hammer is at work on the salt damp for the first time today, the sand and cement is being delivered and the plumber is stripping the pipes off and out of the walls all under the watchfull eye of Andris from Premier Salt Damp Removal.

Beau is playing with Grandad and Marilyn a find I am starting a blog for the first time!

Sweet Pea is now 9 weeks and going strong, nausea is subsiding a little and all is well.

Now I better stop doing this and go and do my housework!!!

Us at the Show this year.

A few before photos, it's the house in the middle and you can get a rough idea of the state of the walls from the other photo.

This is the last drawing/painting I did at art school this year, it's about 1.5 x 2 m and looking for a home if anyone has a space large enough and can appreciate a large headless woman.
